October 17, 2020:  Update for Ruth Lake Customers and Leaseholders:

For those of you who have been trying to contact the Ruth Lake Marina, Ruth Rec Campground and/or the Ruth Lake CSD office: September 8th there was an evacuation order due to the August Complex fire in place and the facilities had to close at that time. On September 27th the fire blew up again and took out many structures in the Ruth Lake area. It is extremely devastating to see. The road has been closed to the Ruth Lake area. In addition, the power has been out for over 2 weeks so the phones have been out of order.

Those of you who have a wet moorage slip and needing to pay for next season, your deadline has been extended and someone will be in contact with you when they are available to do so to square up on your payment. If your needing to mail your payment you may do so at: PO Box 6 – Mad River, CA 95552.
If your boat is still in it’s wet moorage slip, you will not be charge the extra time past September 30, 2020. Please be patient for the roads to open to be able to access your boat as the Marina is still closed at this time. The extremely high winds have damaged the anchoring system on the docks, so please be patient while the Marina is waiting for the diver to come and fix the docks next week.
If you have a dry storage spot at the Marina or at Barlow, someone will also be in contact with you in regards to your payments and if your interested in your spot for next year.
If you had a campground reservation at either, Ruth Rec Campground, Hobart Creek Campground, Barlow Campground, or at Boy Scout Campground: when someone is available to do so, they will contact you in regards to your refunds.
Leaseholders: those of you who have lost your lease, please be patient as the Ruth Lake CSD office is not opened full time yet. However, if your needing to contact the office please contact via email at: ruthlakecsd@yahoo.com or leave a message at 707-574-6332 and someone will get back to you when available. The Ruth Lake CSD is working closely along with HBMWD and Trinity County in regards to the steps that will need to take place in the clean up process. Again, please be patient as there is a lot of work that needs to take place and the Ruth area is still not out of the evacuation order zone yet.
